We follow a series of detailed steps in a honed sequence in the Design, Planning, Construction and Service stages for each of our projects.
As our client, knowing what to expect at each stage –the choices that you will make and the timeline – makes your project experience smooth.
The Ovation process is a result of over 30 years of teamwork and collaboration in the design-build industry. Our team of trained professionals, with a dedicated manager for your project, will work closely with you to handle all the details from inspiration to completion.
Ovation 10 step design-build-remodel process.
1. Initial meeting at our Design Studio.
At this first meeting we will discuss your project. Bring us photos of your current space, share your ideas and any inspirational photos, tell us what's not working and how much change you want to make.
2. Review options at Design Studio.
Meet at our Design Studio to see material types and discuss design and budget options.
3. Initial home consultation.
With a signed design/retainer agreement, our staff will visit your home for a complete in-home analysis. We gather extra information to fully assess the project and take measurements.
4. Finalize the budget and schedule.
This is when our design team finalizes the floor plans, specifications and schedules. We will meet with you to review the final design and specifications and provide you with a final quote for the project.
5. Contract and first payment.
We will create digital floor plans, perspectives and overhead views based on your finalized plan. A preliminary construction schedule will be agreed upon after the first deposit is made.
6. Team is put in place.
Our team completes all material orders, work orders and schedules and organizes all the contractors needed for your job.
7. A start date is determined.
Two weeks prior to your job start, we will confirm your start date with a phone or email.
Preconstruction meeting.
Two to five days prior to your start date, our project manager and your project’s lead contractor will set up a pre-construction meeting with you to fine tune the details.
9. Construction.
Once the construction has started, your project manager will be on site, as necessary, and will have daily communication with lead contractors.
10. Punch list complete, final walkthrough, final invoice.
We do a walk-through of your project to ensure that all listed tasks are completed. Final invoice is settled.
