We follow a series of detailed steps in a honed sequence in the Design, Planning, Construction and Service stages for each of our projects.
As our client, knowing what to expect at each stage –the choices that you will make and the timeline – makes your project experience smooth.
The Ovation process is a result of over 30 years of teamwork and collaboration in the design-build industry. Our team of trained professionals, with a dedicated manager for your project, will work closely with you to handle all the details from inspiration to completion.
Ovation 10 step design-build-remodel process.
1. Initial meet at our Studio
At this initial meeting we will discuss options available for your project. This is when you bring in your ‘inspiration board’ to us with your room dimensions and we set parameters of your project
2. Review initial options at Design Studio
Meet at our Design Studio to review three options for your remodel design (“good, better, best.”) Review a budget analysis, including installation and sign design agreement. We guarantee that your design will fall within 8 percent of your estimated budget.
3. Initial home consultation
With a signed design/retainer agreement, our staff will visit your home for a complete in-home analysis. We gather extra information from a completed customer questionnaire and take measurements.
4. Finalizing the budget and schedule
This is when our design team finalizes all the floor plans, schedules and specs. Once the plans are drawn, then you will get your project’s final quote.
5. First payment, review plans
We will create a digitally produced floor plan, perspective and overhead views based on your finalizing the plans. A preliminary construction schedule will be agreed upon at this time after the first deposit is made.
6. Team is put in place
Our team completes all material orders, work orders and schedules and organizes all the contractors needed for your job.
7. A start date is determined
Two weeks prior to your job start, we will confirm your start date with a phone or email.
8. Meeting set to confirm & go over details
Two to five days prior to your start date, our project manager and your project’s lead contractor will set up a pre-construction meeting with you to fine tune the details.
Once the construction has started, your project manager will be on site, as necessary, and will have daily communication with lead contractors.
10. Last items are addressed, completed and Invoice settled
We do a walk-through of your project to ensure that all listed tasks are completed. Final invoice is settled.
